Week 10 of the WPIBL regular season had the West Mifflin Titan bowling Team traveling to North Versailles Bowl to compete against Serra Catholic

In the Boys Varsity match the Titans squad swept Serra 7-0 to finished the regular season with a record of  8-2 in the Central Section and will head into the WPIBL Boys finals next Wednesday Feb 23rd at White Oak Bowl.  In the 1st Game the Titans won 875-828.  Cody Brown with a 210 and Tom Forster 193 paced the Titans, leading Serra Catholic was Alex Getsy 183 and Zach Mullins 186.  Game 2 went to the Titans 954-838.  Captain Tom Forster lit up the score board with a 254, while Bob Netherton had a 213.  Alex Getsy tossed a 203 for Serra.  The Titans took game 3 845-675.  Once again leading the Titans was Tom Forster 224, Zach Mullins with a 183 was high for Serra.

The Girls Varsity match went to the Titans 7-0.  Match scores were 612-534, 741-583 and 730-557.  The Lady’s squad also ended the regular season at 8-2 and head to Bulter, Family Bowl Away on Thursday Feb 24th.  to compete in the WPIBL Girls finals.   Highs scores for the Lady Titans were Liz Morrison 157,167,179, Brittany Morrison 117, Victoria Hawthorne 112, Stephanie Mittenzwey 169, 155 and Kayle Swiech 178-173.  Top game for the day was shot by Sarah Schindler with a 216.
Junior Becky Harmening took honors with the girls high average in the Central Section with a 202.21

There was no Girls JV match

The boys JV won 7-0 over Serra Catholic.  High Scores for the Titans were Brandon Gloeckl 199, Brian Philip 217, Jon Moody 172 Jeff Czarniecki 165, Jon Schmidt 155, T.J Nassida 172-170, and Nate Missig.

The Western Regional Playoffs will be held at North Versailles bowl with singles competition on Sat Feb 26 and the team event on Sun Feb 27.  The bowing starts each day at 9am.  The boys and girls varsity have qualified for the team event with their 8-2 record in the Central Section

Qualifiers for the singles are the top 74 varsity averages in both the boys and girls divisions.  The West Mifflin Titans will be represented in the girls division by Becky Harmening, Kayla Swiech, Liz Morrison and Stephanie Mittenzwey.  The boys qualifiers are Tom Forster, Alex Houston (Freshman) and Bob Netheron.

Top 12 from the singles and the top 6 teams will move on to the state finals in Reading Pa.
