James Bendel, a McKeesport native, and Ronald Conley, Director of Veterans' Services, Allegheny County. Other area leaders and local veterans' service organizations also participated.
Local Pearl Harbor veteran and V.F.W 914 member Bernie Ordos was lauded for his service. Live music of patriotic songs performed by the award-winning West Mifflin Area High School Titan Thunder Band were enjoyed by all. The West Mifflin Area High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps Honor Guard added an additional spark of youth to the event by participating as lead color unit.
